Time 7.35 pm…

At home…

Hmmm… its been 3 days after the new year and here I am again writing the new blog entry for the year 20Ten.. Doesn’t it sounds niz.. 20Ten..

Wt a yr 2009 been… it was a mix year for me.. lots of happy memories and some bad ones too… I have made some major bad decisions which made a heart ache but it did changed da coast and went in the right track… im so sorry for all those bad and sad incidents.. i didn’t mean any of that to happen..

Isn’t if funny.. life does not turn out just the way we want it.. we promise ourselves that we will do these things.. n not these things.. we wil say these but not these things.. etc., but at the end of the day at times we have said n done some things we didn’t even imaging of doing soo.. isn’t it ??? so I guess we all do get caught in that mix at times..

Apart from making right and wrong decisions in life lets see how the two00 nine been for my family… my sis cam back .. wel for her wedding.. n man..i was so glad n happy to see her after a long time… I knw it wil not mean a thing to you.. bt for someone who doesn’t know what sisters share n da bond they have growing up for 25+ years.. hmm.. that is something which is so wonderful.. anywys.. all went wel.. n she wnt back to her perfect little world.. and a pretty successful life too.. good luck sisy and keep going.. Brother got a promotion.. n went high in his salary scale.. I jst hope he wil continue and will go to the top.. he do have ambition and all those cunning skills.. hehehe.. so sure he will be.. Mom n dad … well they are getting old… I lve them so much and may they live longer lives .. im sure last year was a happy year for them as wel.. since with all those drama they managed to have sis’s wedding.. a parents dream coming true..

Wel.. as for me..hmmm….Im happy for the life I have got…. Im glad that I am living the life im given.. and so glad that I have some one special to share it all with … hopefully it wil continue.. yep.. alwys be positive... In short I had a good last year … fell in love.. found myself back.. learnt a lot from my mistakes.. some still repaying.. honestly felt who are my friends and who were the pretenders… mostly I would say that it was a learning year for me.. it wasn’t pretty … belive me.. it was hard.. but as they say..one day all that hard work is going to pay off … so im waiting…..

My dad kinda made a point saying that I don’t rember the good things in life.. da happy moments in life.. and all I remember is the sad moments.. true I do rember those..bt I do rembr the happy moments in my life too.. for last year… apart from falling in love.. going to see the Fishies.. watching movies.. the new year.. birthday celebrations.. going toRatnapura.. my sisters wedding… enjoying my moments at the beach.. are some to name a few.. and did u know that it was in 2009 I went to the Zoo for the first time ??? had my longest outstation bus ride ?? those might not be huge things to any of the others.. bt they are too me..

So do I want to live 2009 all over again ?? heheheh.. nope.. honestly I don’t want to .. simply because I am already looking forward to the new year to come.. to see how exiting it would be.. what life changing turns are there for me.... isn’t that a new year is all about ??

Take da world … do u think the world would want to have the same year this year as they had in the last year? We ended the damn war … we became a free nation.. we lost hundreds of good men.. innocent lives were taken… we all lived in fear.. for those who ha

d luck survived… and those who didn’t died.. I dnt want that year for this year too.. im glad it ended… don’t you ???

Speaking of losses . world did lost some big celebrets last year.. Mj, Stephen Gately (Boyzone), Quai Chan (Kung-Fu) –ok I dnt rember his real name.. …Briteny Murphy (8-miles) … n many more.. which I don’t rember the names right now..I guz that is what year is about.. you frame some days in to a calendar and live it n see what happens at the end of the day….. yep.. pretty exiting …

This year will be a good year for me.. and a happy one too.. how do I knw ? oh I don’t.. bt I belive it will be.. so I wish all of you from the bottom of my tiny heart that everything you wish and hope for to be true .. at least most of it..

What did u do lately ?

What a weekend it had been… I went my very first long distance bus ride with Dinidu… yeap.. that is right.. we went to Ratnapura.. why…? We had our reasons… well anywys it as a niz ride exept for the so called AC bus taking a snails speed to reach Rtp. Since speed kills ..(not alwys) I guz it was meant to be that fast… I alwys wondered how it is to travel that far in the bus…I thought it will be hectic but Nope.. at least for me it wasn’t….

I m glad we went there… it sure is a memorable day in my life… he was deprived of his sleep but it aint da same for me… I don’t want to write any details of my personal life out in the open so the above would justify my blog I presume..

Apart from traveling wt else did I do ..? Ever since I found that cookery book belongs to Amma, I started making some sweets .. yea.. this time it was Ala Toffee.. n yeap ..i did made paeni walalu also.. yum yum.. wel no.. no one was hurt or hospitalized in the process… n guz wat .. I have made my mom to start making sweets and sure sis too will do the same.. guz I do have some influence on them after all.. :) behind all these things one man stands and one man only .. n I knw who he is n im sure u too know that too baby..

Feeling how close u feel for your partner is something which no one can take away from you.. no matter what it will alwys be there .. also hving a honest guy who speaks his mind out is something a girl should be privileged to have.. n yea.. happy n glad to say that I do hv that with my life.. n I never want to take it for granted..

He is out with his frnds attending a home coming of one of his closes two friends.. and I here I am missing him.. sat down to write the blog but all I can think of is him.. yea yea…. U all will be thinking .. “yep we hv been there done that..” but it’s a bit different.. beyond the bond .. :D

Its not like every day you get to spend your weekend in a free mind.. lot of stuff needs to be done..bt as they say..its alwys good to stop and smell the flowers isn’t it ? No .. fishy tht doesn’t mean u hv to smell FLOWERS.. don’t get caught doing that. .. hmh. !! my point for the flower thingy is that..

I m glad I got the chance to go out … spend time with some one special .. talk about things which matters.. n I hv no hesitation of doing it all over again… its life I guz.. What I realized from all these small small things life is that .. one should never ever take things for granted.. whn you are so close you are afraid of loosing.. I do feel that although I knw that for sure I will not.. its human nature … im sure it is..

Another in the bunch ....

Ever since we won the war I was hoping for a better Sri Lanka. Price reductions, more job opportunities, development of cities, no strikes etc., I guess those things cannot be done over night and yes I m full aware of it. Why do i talk about these things ? oh wel.. wining the war was hoped by generations for many a years. N when we finally got freedom from the rebels we celebrated, we appreciated, we went elated. We still do rember a few big names in the milatry who contributed immensely for this victory. One of them were Gen. S Fonseka. Hope you all know who he is how he lead the war front.

Why is he in my blog ? I have never wrote anything which is related to politics but I what happened during the last few weeks are something which I think I should write about.

He used to be well respected, well spoken to, well appreciated by the people of Sri Lanka. Inside the army base, no idea wt n how it was for him. He kinda reminded me of the saying “elowa gihin melowa awa” .. y? simply cz he escaped a suicide bomber at the Army HQ. face would have been a bit disfigured but stil he was a whole man who commanded the Military to win a war which never saw ny end. Yes he did not by himself win this war, there are many. But this humongous figure became a shred of dust just overnight. Y ? becz he resigned from the Army and wanting to enter into the politics.

Mind you, politics comes with deceit, lies, hatred, revenge, etc., but mostly it consist of Money and power. You have money, you have power. So wat the Former Gen. is greedy for money or for the power ? wel may be both or may be not a ny of the above. But I personally believe that wining a war doesn’t mean that you can rule a country.

I know what media reports, I see wat papers print, i hear wat ppl say, bt does ny of us knw what is the truth behind all this drama ? I knw that the person whom the ppl of SL truly cared is no more.

It’s a shame that ppl like these jst destroy their image by entering into the politics. It has been shown in all parts of the world. Ex. Arjuna Ranathunga, the one n only Capt. who managed to bring the World Cup (Cricket) to SL. He entered into politics (may be due to his family background) but now do we see him as that great Capt ? I guz not. Imarn Khan, Manoj Prabhakar, etc, entered into the politics and where r they now ? but have to say that ppl around the world do rember Imran as legend in cricket. Sadly it isn’t same for Arjuna Ranthunga I guz.

We love Murali. No matter what colour he is wts is his religion, when he takes wickets n bring a match to wining end, we, Sri Lankans united as one n applauded. We felt happiness and joy within our hearts. Although it was a match we really praised the ones who made it hapn. I dnt hv to write about how we all celebrated (except for a few) when the war ended. (not the terrorism but the war). And with feeling we really respected & cared for those who contributed to the betterment of SL.

Where are the war heroes now ? yes we might not rember all names but the huge role models we did care.

Respect is not something which u can get by force. U have to own it. With that kind of respect why did the General wanted to enter into the Politics ? what wld u say if Murali says that he will be entering into politics in a few years time ? im sure that we all with see n think abt that decision in a totally different perspective.

I do hate politics, and I dnt knw much about it. But if its so great why do we feel this way when a war hero enters into the politics ???

Thakdinadin Aladin ….

Nope… it aint a filthy word.. bt some magical words… wel for those who have watched the movie “ALADIN” the above is not newz to them.. bt for those who didn’t it is..

Anywys.. I had a fishing day out ;) today.. (8th) and guz wt where we both ended at.. yea.. it was Mjz “This is it” at first bt the usual was full so we both went to the Magical land of Aladdin..

Review.. it was so much amazingly done.. the graphics were upto the standard and oh.. did I mention that this movie is the latest version of Aladdin done by the Indians.. yea.. it is in Hindi and English mix.. bt wow.. I have NEVER seen a Hindi movie with that much of standard graphics on it.. as to the expert who was with me ..(Dinidu) the directors must have done them with the help of expert US graphic designers.. which I wil get to know more details tomorrow as my life will be Googling Aladdin tonight.. wel most probably the Jacqueline .. yeap… the former Ms. Sri Lanka.. who was looking stunning and so much beautiful.. yea.. I knw.. i am a gal.. bt I think Jacque is so pretty…. One of the prettiest ladies I have ever seen.. (no I m not a lezy to admire a gals beauty..) of cz.. there were so much of “Ahhhsss.. n Oooohs..Woooww.. sexy .. ” and so much of Jealous lady faces at the movies…( yea yea..i was ONE of them.. so sorry for the Red scars baby.. oh n for the disappointed ending.. too…:P) bt stil for all it was superbly done with Sri lankan talent mind you.

N belive me I think I really did laugh out loud today while watching it n… hmmm.. yea.. we both really laughed.. :D .. its so amazing how a pretty face can do to a man.. .. how Aladdin hit a pole n trying to explain to Jaz that it was not suppose to be there, which made no sense at all.. however… I guz it takes time and courage to tel how much a person loves the other.. was this move is about love… ya right.. like I would tel you… hmm..or should I spoil the end for you ? :D

I used to be a HUGE Aladdin fan.. wel stil I am.. childish ? wel think as u may..bt I really love the story of Aladdin … i m sure few of my school frnds do rember how crazy I was.. .. the Rupavahini used to telecast “Arabina Nights” which is Not original AN but the one with Aladdin stories.. Diego the parrot.. geezz.. wat a crazy parrot that is… hehehe.. stil makes me laugh … (for those who don’t knw Diego , it is a character in the Aladdin cartoon series.. ).. I wonder who came up with the Aladdin stories.. n how it became so popular which became a Disney Hit.. n made huge impression around the world…

Wow… its after a loooonnggg time since im writing a blog ..isnt it ? oh wel wt to do .. I was in Italy n was visiting France on the way n went to Ireland too.. Naaa… Really ??? Ofcz.. im kidding..

Why Ireland.. wel I think it’s a pretty country.. saw an documentary in Discovery… n yea saw the landscape in the movie Maid of Honor … wel why go there.. ? oh wel, rembr I love the movie “ps I love u” …. There is this park in Ireland….. n I saw it in da movie n found it pretty lovely place.. btw.. did I tel u that I still didn’t finish the book ? yeap.. stil have not finished reading the book.. wel guz it hapns when u watch the movie while reading the book.. ok its not the same for me .. cz while I was reading “ The Davinci Code” I watched the movie and I did finish the book..

Oh yea.. the new Dan Brown book is out n man I want to get my hands on that book soon.. cz I think Dan Brown is one of the most greatest writers ever.. wel not great as Shakespeare .. bt stil lets say he is a writer who wil make you belive that Jesus had a wife and a daughter with her and his descendents are stil living in the present world.. yea… he wil..

Talking abt books.. did watch a movie called Jane Austin book club .. or something.. n I did took an interest on reading her books.. bt the thing with those kinda books is that they have this Heavy English wordings which wil take some time understand.. or digest.. Shakespeare is the worst of them all.. tried reading Romeo & Juliet bt heck the lines were Greek to me at times..

Have u read the Arabian Nights ? No ? wel I think u all should do it.. I am doing it these days.. n guz what I get the chance to tel the bed time story to my life everynight.. so far a few nights I missed it cz.. of sm reasons.. or life doesn’t remebr it in the morning due to some under influence stuff so I hv to do a repeat broadcast the next day..bt it is fun..i never undrstnd why kids fall asleep when they listen to bed time stories ? aren’t they interesting ? or do they get bored by listing ot them.. ? guz they jst fall asleep.. but why you my love? Tired I guz…hehehehe.. I was never told any bed time stories by my parents… but I do rembr when we were little.. we used to go to our parents bed and my mom would tel us stories.. most of them were about animals who lived in a forest.. bt sadly I don’t rembr wt exactly the stories were but im do rembr they were interesting..

Fairy tales.. man I stil love those stuff.. used to have “Lassana Wasilissa” & “Dum Koodu Heppuwe kathawa”.. have you read those books ? amazing stuff.. Im stil wondering why people lyk Hans Christian Anderson are not born now.. remebr those cartoon we all used to watch on TV ? I rember a few.. the story about a little match girl is one of the saddest storied I hv ever seen of Anderson stories..

Have you noticed that those famouse writers do write a few stories which have sad endings ? Shakespeare wrote Romeo n Juliet, Anderson wrote abt little match girl, Elliot wrote Mill on the Floss, etc., so guz when these people are in good moods they all wrote happy endings… n whn they don’t they jst wrote what their heart desires..

Yea.. I kinda do belive in fairytales , mystical creatures , magic n stuff.. why ? no idea.. bt I do… wel gues it makes me feel good … ok im sure u all do at some point do belive n do love reading n do love watching those stuff.. ok .. have u watched Harry Potter ?? Chronicles on Nanina, ?? ok there I go..i rest my case..

Stories are amazing.. aren’t they .. it can lift ur spirits up or let it down.. it have the power to make you laugh, cry, feel angry or annoyed.. etc., its sure is a pretty powerful thing.. it wil teach you to look at things in a new manner.. even Lord Buddha gave examples at his sermons so that anyone can understand them.. 550 Jathaka Katha.. yep I do have that.. after reading the Arabian nights, I intend to read this to Dinidu.. its fun.. n bonding.. J

I wonder whether I can put up a fairy tale collection .. hmm..intersting.. wel.. should try n see.. I aint that much of a writer.. never had that skill… but impossible is nothing write ? :P ..isnt it fishy ? oh wel at least I can scare my kids with some wacky stories.. so that they ll have nightmares.. OFCZ im joking hahahah..

Oh.. its Da Dutchman !!

Yep , all of u r fully aware of the above term ryt ? I mean IF u r a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean (of cz everybody are) .. then flying Dutchman is NOT a new word for any of you.. Since I m kinda jobless.. (wel hv more free time at offz that is) thout of doing smthng usful rather than wasting my time on FB or sm other thing.. . so thot of reading wts meant by Paranormal. .n found out abt the FDs .. :D

In the world of sea stories I think the Capt. of this ship has the most variety of names.. (Vanderdecken, Van Demien, Van Straaten, Van der Decken, or Van something else , yep .. I got that infor from the internet.. ) I prefer saying Decken.. (not lyk in Decken Chargers) but some belve that Flying Dutchman IS the name of the Captain.. n I think this also in the top with a large number of versions of the story.. oh wel.. belve wt u want to belve..

Btw.. if u don’t knw abt the ship.. wel it’s a ship which is doomed to sail the seas until the judgment day comes.. .. err.. wts Judgment Day ? end of the world :P.. ( I hope)

Anywys.. he and the rest of crew members was trying to pass the Cape of Good Hope.. bt failed to do so cz of a terrible storm.. (gale) .. as usual the drunken Capt. got mad with the weather and cursed to the high above.. "I WILL round this Cape even if I have to keep sailing until doomsday!" yep.. tht is wt is belvd as wt he said.. n guz wt .. GOD or who ever granted this wish despite the fact that he has asked for the storm to clear out or smthng.. GODs.. :D n so he did.. doomed forever until the day comes for him to pass the canal..

Ok spookiest part.. did u know that this ship was spotted near the Cape of Good Hope when ever there is a storm ? n its belvd that who ever spot the ship is blessed with a tragic death free of charge.. :-0 .. first records of the sighting was in 1835 by a British Ship. They said that the Ghost ship came right at them n vanished.. bt no nothing has hpand to the British crew.. I wonder y .. Hmm.. Oh wel the curse did worked on the person who spot the ship in 1881.. the lookout man on King George V , died falling from the mast ( the flagpole or smthng.. ) luckly the King survived.

I hv read the Scientific explanation of this sights of seeing the upside down ships.. n yea.. my mind wants to belv its true bt my heart is kinda want me to stay in the paranormal state..

Wel all in all.. its very interesting to knw abt these things.. I mean.. I actually thot that Flying Dutchman was a creation by the film makes of POC, but heck No it isn’t. .oh n their story of coming to land after 7 years to find true love is on of the versions said in the history..
